Zach is a bully. Not a bully that beats up people and calls them slurs. Not a bully who forces you for your math homework. Zach is a bully who calls people "nerd" and steals their lunch money. Not that horrible, except for the money thing. So what did he do so horrible that made someone hurt him physically, emotionally, AND mentally? I don't know.
