Five hundred years ago, human race was almost taken over by evil forces if it was not for the sudden appearance of ten individuals with immense power. They were able to banish them away. With the help of the Celestial and the Nine, the new twelve kingdoms built the Academy, a place to train gifted youth against the evil forces if needed.

Five hundred years later, the Blackbourne-Toma team is assigned a mission to investigate strange happenings. When they discover something bigger than they thought, Dr. Roberts assigns them to travel into the Great Forest and find the Guide who will lead them to the Celestial. They are attacked and when they take refuge in the Great Forest, they find something they were not expecting.
