Everything you have ever been told about monsters is a lie. Monsters live among us like normal people. Most people go around thinking nothing is wrong, never having to wonder if the monster there child saw under the bed was your friend next door or the man you meet on the street today. Most people are oblivious to what goes on day after day except for a select few. The graduates or the undergrads from the Mori Academy Orphan Program are people who are specially trained to take on the monsters that terrorize people.

If she touched me again, I wasn't sure that I could keep myself from doing just that. "I'm going to take a shower," I said suddenly in an attempt to escape.
