Fairy tales aren't all fairy godmothers and heroic princes. Especially in 0137, the Era of Harmony. Sometimes it isn't the Beauty and the Beast; sometimes, Belle is her own beast. Cinderella isn't a pretty blonde looking for a prince, but an orphan wrapped up in a government conspiracy. Aurora is trapped in a coma and her "prince" is a boy with a scientific breakthrough that just might wake her up if it doesn't kill her first. And Rapunzel? Rapunzel has been locked in a tower because she deserves to be; she's crazy.

Which of these four sisters will be able to overcome their evils?

Because one Happily Ever After will be too far from grasp.

Growing up in a tower isn't easy, but it's the only life Rapunzel has ever known, and she wouldn't trade it for anything. The only real blemish is the suitors who persist in attempting to rescue her, despite her repeated declarations that she's perfectly happy right where she is. But her seventeenth birthday is fast approaching, and if she doesn't find her one true love by then, she'll have to leave the tower forever. What's a princess to do who isn't interested in, well, anyone? Winner of the Once Upon a Time contest by @lgbtq and @_Once_Upon
