Vivendell High is a school where popularity means everything to its students. Many of them yearn to be at the top of the ladder, even if it means walking on the backs of others. The personalities of these individuals come in many different packages. Some as shallow as can be and others as crazy as they come. Nathan Nightshade, the large and scary yet invisible student makes it his mission to win over the charming, bubbly, and popular Noah. Problem is; Nathan is terrifying to many, and lacks apparent social skills. Nathan just wants a friend, someone other than his mother to talk to. He's well aware of the social ladder running his school, and if climbing it is what it takes to make friends, he's going to, only, he'll do it his way. Noah Ormen is the well known, kind, hyperactive eighteen year old who goes out of his way to talk to everyone around school. Unlike Nathan, Noah's got all of the friends he could ask for. Though no one could replace his best friend and partner in crime Taylor Wailing. They're well known for their mischievous tag team shenanigans around school.

In the day-to-day trenches of high school, it is almost the default-setting to believe we are the main character of our own coming-of-age story. This is not wrong. It's just ours isn't the only story there is. The jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the losers, the stoners, the fangirls, the skaters. Everyone's the realest most important person in existence, all of them, at the same time, first-person narrators to their own stories, stumbling into each other's plot lines, defying the status-quo, catalysts to ups and downs. A deconstruction of all the high school tropes and cliches written over the years, a deep-dive into the psyche of students trying to finish high school while going through irrevocable self-discovery, the most improbable of connections, and the insufferable pains of growing up.
