Sonic had just won the battle against Eggman when he fell into the hole at the top of the mountain. Chris, Sonic's human friend, tried to save him but fell with him.
Now Sonic has to try and find a way to get back to his friends. He meets a human much like Chris, which makes him feel the need to protect his friend even more. The blue hedgehog then meets a lazy skeleton that's almost exactly like him.
Will Sonic ever get home?

Eggman disowned Metal and called him useless before firing the cannon. But Metal chose to take the Chaos Emeralds when the portal became unstable and turned into a black hole. While grabbing the Ruby, Metal Sonic sacrificed himself to save the world, making everyone believe him to be gone... However, they did not know that he was sent to an alternate dimension, where he would begin his new life becoming a hero in the SMG4 universe, proving he will be a better hero than Sonic.
