Elowyn and her sick aunt, Mary, are, as far as they know, one of the last humans on earth. The world has been overrun by vampyrs. Elowyn has learned to hunt, fight, anything to keep her and her only connection to her parents alive. One day, she decides its time for the Vampyr King, King Cornelius,  to understand the true meaning of pain and suffering. She decides to steal the deceased queen's crown, but in the process, she is caught.
