Violet was a 18 year old girl, living with her mom and brother till September hit and she would be in collage, which she got into on full scholarship. Until September she was getting beaten by her mom and protecting her little brother beatings. Violet wasn't anything special. She wasn't a beauty queen. Her smile wasn't perfect. She was just another girl. Dallas was a 18 year old boy, doing what he wanted, when he wanted. He grew up always getting his way and always having money to spend. He had no siblings and had girls drooling over him. He never worked a day in his life. He had good looks. He had a million dollar smile. He wasn't just another boy. Dallas didn't even know their was a girl named Violet who got beaten and couldn't wait till September so she could go to collage, which she couldn't pay for without her full scholarship. But one day, his best friend, Devon, got him to go to a music store, The Music Train, and he met her. Right off the bat Dallas knew their was nothing special about Violet. But he couldn't look away. Their was something about this plain girl that sucked him in. And he had to know what.

She works in a bookstore and as an library assistant to make money so she can take care of herself, 'cause her dad would waste all the money he makes on alcohol. Her life has no meaning, she has nothing, she's all alone and has no one to go to. But what happens when Chris wakes up hungover on Rhea's couch? Will their everyday life still be the same? Would their friendship continue to grow into something more?
