The deceit is this: The Hunter has a Lochri daughter. The stable boy has a secret curse. The WitchMaster isn't what he appears.
No one knows how or why the Lochri came into being. Some believe it was the work of gods. Others, many, many others, believe they are spawned from something much darker.
WitchHunters, employed at Hunter's guilds, live their lives in search of these monsters, these unnatural beings who dare to question the order we have kept in place for centuries. For six years, the Ace has lived mostly unbothered, but all that will change when Hale Arsen, Velius's adopted son, returns to the Ridge, and the Ace is assigned to protect him, as he will one day become the future WitchMaster. Tensions rise as the two clashing personalities come together time after time in feud, but with the Lochri problem growing ever stronger, and secrets begin to unravel themselves, these two opposing forces will have to realize that working together may be the only way to keep the world from figuring out the truth that could spell disaster for them all.
