It has been three years since Emily left the infamous Jackson crumbled in a heap on his bedroom floor with nothing but a Lamborghini and a void where his heart and love for her used to be. Now Emily is living it up in the Big Apple as a recording engineer with the dreams of becoming a studio manager or agent for her favorite band Running Rampant. So when Emily catches wind that RR is going to be recording at the very studio she works at; she practically begs her boss to let her take care of them. But what happens Emily is tackled with a bear hug by the bassist of RR to find out that the band is made up of the very people she ran away from. Emily is frightened to see Jackson let alone talk to him. But when Jackson refuses to take her silence for an answer Emily starts to think that maybe she could let him back into her life. But her best friend/roommate has a deep, dark secret that could possible burn Emily and Jackson's new found friendship to the ground. Can Emily let go of the pain she still feels long enough to catch a glimpse of the Jackson she fell in love with, or will her anger and pain overpower what her heart is screaming for? Can Jackson stop the one night stands, binge drinking, and use of drugs long enough to prove to Emily that he is still and always was the guy she loved? Or will a blast from the past make Jackson rethink his present and possibly future with the girl her proposed to three years ago? Emily doesn't want to give into her heart's desire; she knows that will only end in her being hurt once again. Jackson is frightened to let go of his partying ways because so far that has been the only thing he can cling to because nothing in his life seems real. Jackson doesn't want to believe that Emily is back either. But with the help of an acoustic guitar and a voice that makes everyone stop and listen; Jackson might be able to get a grip on reality.
