Scott Silver, watched his parents get murdered by a man when he was only 4 years old. Soon after his real parents death, he was adopted at the age of 5 by a nice couple, David and Trisha Williams. They have 1 child, Jessica Williams (Jess) who is 6 years old at the time of Scott's adoption.
Later in that same year Trisha, Scott's adoptive mother was shot and killed by a man right on their own front porch. David fell apart after his wife's murder, he began drinking every day, which lead to him abusing Scott because he blamed him for her death. Jess never gets abused because everytime David was about to lay his drunken hand on her, Scott would get in his way and provoke him any way possible. So that David would forget about hurting Jess and focus on hurting him instead. Scott would fight off David with nothing but pure rage and anger in his heart. It was like something dark and savage was hiding just beneath the surface.
The only people who know about Scott's abuse are David (the one beating him) and Jess. That is until the schools beatiful, blue eyed, redheaded, bad girl Emma, a 17 year old she-wolf and also the only daughter of the Alpha and Luna of the Blood River Pack, who is coming up on her 18th birthday, which will allow her to find her mate. Discovers that Scott the mysterious boy with constant injuries, anger problems and no friends is her mate..... AND HE'S HUMAN!!!!
