Turned my life into art
My collection of poems in the past three years which leads to character development. Realistic incidents, illusionary love, hardships, it's quite a journey. Some say I'm unique and some say I'm Raw. Some say my work is relatable and some feel they can relate. That's crazy though, makes me want to be heard. I was quiet as feathers basically my whole life, closed up, antisocial, lost. I've cried too hard for too long as I debated death. Over and over, all I wanted was a quick overdose, a quick way to escape the pain. Until the guilt set it and made me realise, suicide feels too selfish. Instead I turned my sadness into art and my pain into strength. Desperately wanting to carve up my skin, I bled on a page. My screams are silent, hidden behind closed doors, And computer screens. All these horrible emotions kept secret in notebooks. Save Me
After coming out, Alex hadn't had the best time. Repelled and hated by his parents, the boy got send to a place that he might as well describe as hell. Will he be able to stand up for himself, or will he break under the pressure that was created by his environment? One sample of my work (Note not all poems will be so serious, some are story like others are light hearted): "Every day, something happens... Someone gets bullied, Just because "They're different" "Nerdy" "Annoying" "Have no sense of fashion..." All those things are of unimportance...! Everyone has a choice, Don't let what someone says, change it! You could stand down... Watch as the victim pleads for help... That's the easy path, But is it the right one? Do you want that on your consciousness? The pain can be so bad... It takes a life... Then it's too late, Regret becomes your best mate... A depressing thought... Although. It doesn't have to be that way...! YOU can make it change! Stand tall, speak loud, Stand up for what is right! That one action... Can save a life...! You could make a friend, A REAL friend. Spread awareness and Right the wrong! Be brave! For those who suffer... You're not alone...! If there's no knight to slay The evil demons away... Find it within you, to be strong! If you get no help, save yourself! You deserve happiness, and it will come! For karma never forgets you! Nor your enemies... Once it comes around, it will go around... Poetry was our safe space, a way to say words we couldn't otherwise. A way to make friends and connections. Every word in a poem is important. Designed to mean something. Much in the same way every experience and mistake makes us who we are. ************** This was a beginning, a beginning to what, you may ask. The live's I've lived
This is a collection of poems and pieces of writing. That I have written over the last 2 years of my life. I've never been one to actually live. To take the risk. A lot of the things I have written are about things that have happened in my head. Or random thoughts that have popped into my head that I was able to make more of.
