This is a story
Of a girl
Who suffered,
And it's written
Through poetry

Maybe four lines
Won't help you feel her pain
But read every word
And you'll see through her eyes
And know all the times she cried
All the times she closed them
To block the tears from falling
And the monsters inside from crawling

And hopefully you'll understand
Hopefully, you'll see
That this girl is only as messed up
As the poetry
