River is a 16-year-old girl living with her dad and her older brother. She and her father are extremely close and when something tragic happens to him she is left to go live with a family close to her father. Emma's older brother goes overseas to live his own life with his girlfriend leaving Emma alone with a family she has never met but apparently close to her father. She is thrown under the bus and forced to live with them. There she goes to a new school where she meets a boy who she could only have imagined in her dreams but what will happen when he starts to play with the strings of her heart?
