Jessica Cartwright is your average cynical hardass smoke puffing detective. Except for one thing she uses a wheelchair. Jessica was born with a condition called cerebral palsy. This has left her unable to walk and it also makes little things such as dressing herself or writing down notes much more difficult. But she doesn't let her disability keep her from getting her job done.

The woman's name is Rose Turnbull an actress and a model. Who's beautiful, delicate and familiar face brings back painful memories for the detective.
