In the present time, where magic came into existence and had became a part of one's daily life, coexisting with swordsmanship, forming as what has been known as "Imperial Arts". The story follow a young boy whose elder brother was consumed with the thirst for power and knowledge after discovering a forbidden which soon caused him to abandon the school he was attending and put him in a position against the society of magic and even his own brother, Judai Asuga. Many events follow as Judai sets to be a student in Grand Flame Academy, the Imperial Arts school his elder brother previously attended with the goal of bringing his brother back into the light and into the person he once respected and looked up to.
