"Get back here, Avery!" He yelled at me with such anger in his voice.

"Screw you, Malloy!" I call over my shoulder as I walk down the steps of the Astronomy tower. I had been crazy to think that he wanted me for anything other than a verbal punching bag. No matter what my feelings for him were I couldn't handle his mood swings anymore.

I could hear him following me, his hurried footsteps echoing in the small hallway as we both descended the stairs, but suddenly all of it stopped. His hand wrapped around my wrist and with one harsh yank he had me pressed against the wall with my hands pinned above my head.

"Why do you defy me?" He growled, his cold grey eyes boring into my soul. "Why won't you listen to me?"

I struggled against his hold on me but it was all in vain because he and I knew he was much stronger than me. I couldn't have this conversation with him right now, not while I was still fuming from our argument in the tower, but there wasn't a way out of it. Taking a shaky breath I drop my gaze to his chest, avoiding that look in his eye.

"Because I'm tired of this," I whispered breathlessly. "I'm tired of you, Draco. I'm done."
