Deep in the Mountains

The town Dou is surrounded by both mountains and legends of beasts in said mountains. Of course there are many who scoff at such tales, while others still carry bronze around their wrist and carve ink for protection into their skin. Guards still watch the border, to keep things out.

Alex has always been a disbeliever, even though he still partakes in safety rituals. That is, until one night while he works, he sees something that would change his beliefs forever.
