Princess Hela of Na'Mire is an intelligent, stubborn, and calculating royal lady. She is young, and bored with the draining duties of a princess, and when her mother tries to force her to marry so she can become queen, she refuses.
She believes she can rule the kingdom and its affairs well enough on her own, but the journey is a hell of a ride, and the mysterious boy she meets that captures her attention is either going to lead her to her freedom, or to her fall.
The mysterious boy has disappeared for years, but when he comes back in shackles at her feet, she is a fierce queen and no longer a curious child.
The mysterious boy has lied long enough, and the truth was her mission, no matter what it takes.
And depending on the truth he tells, he is either going to never leave her side again, or his people will fall as he watches.
