Vera Janelle (she/they) is a shy, lonely healer/teleporter trying to do what she can to help others while working at their mother's clinic. She knows that she can't work there forever, that one day they'll have to forge their own path, but when opportunity knocks and she has the chance to enroll in an academy program run by one of the most well-known guilds in the kingdom, the idea of breaking away from everything she's ever known terrifies her. Despite those anxieties, she decides to move forward, knowing that it may be the one chance she has to figure out who she's truly meant to be.

Striving to do their best, they set out to understand all that's expected of them and quickly recognize that their regular tactics don't work as well in this new hands-on environment. In order to be successful, she has to learn to depend on her new teammates and deal with the scars that she's kept buried inside.

But when Vera discovers a secret that has the potential to affect the fate of the whole kingdom (for better or worse), no amount of studying could have prepared her to handle the weight of what comes next. She'll just have to trust that they already have what it takes to move forward and become a creator of change.
