"Meet me in the treehouse."

"What time?"

"How about 11:57?"

"Why 11:57?"

"Because you'll remember the time better."

"But-"

"Jughead, just meet me there."

***

Jughead and Archie were neighbors, but they were never particularly close until one summer. A one time visit to the old treehouse in the redhead's back yard turned into a weekly thing, then a daily thing, then a twice a day thing.

By the end of the summer they had been found out, and by the beginning of the school year rumors had spread wildly about the innocent, vegan, Christian boy who apparently had a naughty side.

How is Jughead supposed to get through junior year with a reputation like that?

How is Archie supposed to get over his crush on the boy who seemingly wants nothing to do with him?

Is it for you or for me, cause I don't know what to think anymore... Or was I just a drunk kiss to you? And when we fall in love...or if...will you be there to catch me when I fall? Will you be there to guide me through the darkness, or just wait on the other side hoping I make it though? But if something were to happen to me, what would you do? ✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ Betty's mother and Jughead's father were good friends, all the way back from highschool. Betty and Jughead themselves, on the other hand. They were barely even acquaintances. Sure they would see each other on holidays, but that was mainly it. Jughead was the bad boy with a dark past, Betty was the good girl who was misunderstood. Polar opposites. Everyone knew that. What happens when an attraction starts to stir? Pulling them together as if it was a magnet. He tried to push her away, for her own safety of course, but the force of the magnet seems to be stronger. Ya'll know the drill. ~preview~ I heard the faintest sound of feet stepping against the wooden dock, but I wasn't afraid. Instead I inhaled a deep breath and leaned back on my hands. The person sat down beside me. Their presence wasn't awkward nor comforting. It was just there. Like I was. I knew who it was. He was often here when I came. We'd gotten used to each other just being there. I found out his name was Jughead Jones and he comes here not for bad dreams-usually-but for issues back home. "Let me guess. You had a dream about being with your crush and woke up sweating to the horrible truth?" He said softly. I found his demeanor oddly soothing. "Actually, I came here for some self-reflection." I replied just as softly as him. He seemed to know what I meant. "Sometimes..." I continued, "I feel so lost its like trying to find stars during the day. One moment everything feels so right and the next its all so utterly wrong I find myself rethinking everything and I just need to be alone."
