In the middle ages, a prince rebelled against the throne ,and religion of the Oyo kingdom. He proclaimed himself god, and established a new religious order with the nomadic tribes of the North. They invade the kingdom, town by town killing local inhabitants, to cleanse the world of unrighteousness . They erect an altar with the heads of their victims, for the worship of prince Adebayo. Omoyoma is a detailed account of the war, kept by a general who served the Oyo kingdom.
