FREELANCER. BOOK ONE of the FREELANCER SERIES
Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. In the following books I have changed the name from Lajes to Freeport Seven. Sorry if it causes any confusion.Complete

Clove's father turns abusive when her mother dies and when Cato finds out about that, he starts being even more protective of her, and their trainer, the famous Enobaria, finds out about Clove being abused and takes Clove in, and treats her like she is her daughter. Walking into college is much easier when your past isn't kissing you goodbye. All your life has come up to this. Elementary prepares you for middle school. Middle school teaches you something close to the misery of high school. High school is the last acceptable happiness you will ever have. High school was the preview of college. If you eat all your popcorn in the preview, being in the movies won't reach up to the standards. If your popcorn fell, you're done. If you didn't buy the popcorn, you'll be stealing it from your friend. After all, this is FIU. Most of the people here left their lives back wherever their home was. There's a man-I know what you're thinking- there always is, the only issue is that...he's WAY too hot. It's as if God made him using the fires of hell (cause his eyes scream sin) and gave him the perfect thing he needed to come off as a gentleman- an accent and then, decided to mess with me by making him my teacher. My fucking teacher. Forcing me to watch and watch only as he walks into the class, takes off his blazer in a motion that makes my mouth water, and teaches biology. Teaching us how babies are made, and vehemently refusing to give me a private class on the same. But I know he isn't as proper of a gentleman as he seems- proper ones don't get attracted to eighteen-year-old girls and God forbid- stalk them. And I don't miss the way his eyes darken when he sees me, the way he tries his best to keep me around, and especially the glare he gives all the boys that approach me. He says he cares because I am his star student but I know better. I know the truth. I am more than a student to him. I am his noctiluca.
