Finn Portman is a Mole. Not the mammals that dig tunnels, but a survivor of a forgotten people's. The people who live hundreds of feet underground are Moles, and they've been trapped down here for decades.

Angry and envious, Finn dreams of journeying to the Surface, a place that his old textbooks claim where true humanity is.

His mission is not without hardship. The very journey is illegal to make under the Moles makeshift government, and a cloaked enemy always lies in wait.
