In 1932 Chalky Pettedin is granted permission to buy property and turn it into his childhood dream: an amusement park. The area of land he purchased is a big field, known at the time as the "Ghost Field." There were sightings and rumors of ghosts haunting people in the small town in which Chalky and his fellow townspeople live. Chalky ignored this and ran the park successfully, until things start to happen. When the park gets shut down for good later on, it goes left abandoned for many years. Upon discovering the park, a new girl and her group of friends uncover the dark secrets of the Amusement Park that has more to do with the magical and fantastical than they ever could have realized.
