Jaylyn, now aged seventeen, comes from a family filled with love, hope, and trust. When her mother passes away a few years later, she goes to live with her life long friend and his caring family.

Axel Alder has dealt with horrible nightmares in his short eighteen years of life. From the time he was born to the time his youngest sibling, Zoey, was born, Axel had suffered from abuse. Physical and emotional abuse from his demented father, Carl. When Carl and Axel's mother Jane got a divorce, they thought it was all over. Boy, were they wrong.

When Axel and Jaylyn finally admit their feelings towards each other, their lives get flipped around faster than you can say banana popsicles. Love, hate, trust, and friendship are just some of the obstacles Jaylyn and Axel have to go through to get to where they want. People come, and people go, but it's the ones who linger at the edge of your life that you need to worry about.
