I held my breath and slid through the crack of the door escaping my sister’s grasp. I breathed out and opened my eyes to the night sky. The streetlights provided barely enough light for me to make out the streets. I was alone, who else would be out at this time on this night. I let out a deep howl and took off running. I had made my decision and now I knew I wouldn’t regret it. I stopped and turned at the sound of something behind me. The street lights seemed to be turning of one by one quickly coming my way. No! This couldn’t be happening that’s not how it worked, the lights never went off! I took off running as fast as I could, I couldn’t get along in the dark something was terribly wrong, this wasn’t normal! I rounded the nearest corner and into the alley way. A trash can! I climbed in and closed the lid over me. What was going on tonight this shouldn’t have happened. I now knew I had made the biggest mistake of my life. I now knew I was going to regret this night
