Valaina is not a favorite among those of Middle-Earth due to her being a lycan. That, and her constant insulting have gained her a reputation of a red-eyed, temperamental, angry, lycan that is not to be messed with. However, this may just be her chance to make a name for herself when she is called to a council meeting and joins the unlikeliest group of travel companions, even more so than the thirteen dwarves that she had joined an adventure with. They don't trust her, but why should they? She's an odd specimen that Gandalf and Aragorn seem to be fine around, but not so much the others...at least, not too much. As they embark on this journey, little do they know that friendships will be made and tested, lives will be at stake, hopeless humor will commence, chaos will ensue, and insults will be thrown. But as time goes on, will the lycan have the strength to resist the darkness within her heart or will she fall to it like so many others have in this time?

Being the middle sibling, Aearon knew her life would be full of struggles; she would not inherit the throne nor would she allow herself to be paraded around for others to admire. At a young age she decided she would give her life purpose by swearing an oath to protect the Falmari people, she would become a warrior and fight alongside her brother to protect her people from the threats of middle earth. While carrying out her duty, Aearon found herself at the mercy of the cold Prince of Mirkwood and King Thranduil himself. Finding herself locked in Thranduil's dungeon, the she-elf soon finds herself becoming friends with the most unlikely of creatures who steer her life on to a whole new path. Accompanying the group of dwarves to their home, Aearon finds herself battling both foe and feeling as she struggles to survive the dangers of middle earth. Will she allow herself to become compromised by her feelings or will she continue on her journey to prove herself. Either way, she will do whatever it takes to keep her word and help her friends while avoiding another stay in King Thranduil's dungeon, much to his displeasure.
