Hey guys. My name is Olivia Jackson, and I am seventeen years old. To other people, I appear to be normal. Indifferent. Disregarded even, not that I complain. But what people don't know about me are the burdens I carry. I have to hide my regrets, loss, and guilt because otherwise, they would find out me, and who knows what happens then. It actually worked, until now. I found my way to a portal to another dimension, where immortal beings with power were at war. I discovered more about my past, and why I have the potential to do horrible things when all I've wanted was to be good. Did I mention they were at war? Instead of returning to my foster home, I stayed, so I could fight. Of course, I had no intention of it, but after learning that the war was because of me, and not only that, led by a familiar face I once thought was dead, gave me a sense that this was my battle to fight, one that I have to win. Not for myself or my family, but for the lives of everyone on this planet, and earth. You probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Just, try not to lose your conscience while reading this, okay? *Also, this is going to be a five book series, so enjoy!
Ray is low on time, luck, and hope; his only chance is an artifact that may not even exist. But upon meeting Landon, Ray is beginning to believe he might find all four.
*****
Cambions are doomed to tragedy. They are weak, sickly creatures that rarely live to see their twentieth year. Ray refuses to resign himself to that fate. Upon learning of the Crimson Sheath-an artifact capable of preserving his life-Ray is prepared to fight, steal, and kill to get his hands on it. He is not prepared for Landon. Landon is an orphan with no memories of his parents, the only inheritance left to him a dagger, sleeping in a crimson sheath. Though he has no love of bloodshed and no use for a dagger, Landon isn't about to let Ray take his only link to his forgotten history, even if that means following the cambion past the edge of the world and into the shadow beyond.
