Rose Langford was raised by her Uncle and Aunt who always encouraged her independent spirit. Deviating from the norm of the ton, she's remained unmarried and quite content. Though perhaps her rationale to stay as she is stems from her own philandering father. And it is that trait itself which has resulted in her distaste in the most renown rakes of England.

William Cecil never wanted to wed. But with the consistent badgering of his sister and grandmother - it seems like he has no choice to settle. Childish and impulsive, his eye's are caught by a challenge he hopes to conquer.

Though neither party ever wished for the other - a twist of circumstances seems to have tied their fates together.

(COMPLETED) It's 1817 and there is nothing more a woman wants than to marry a rich man and live a life of comfort. But not Nancy Brooks. Having spent half her life helping her mother run her laundry shop and the other half in the local library, Nancy knows what she wants, and it is not a life spent looking for the perfect suitor. Things take a turn when she delivers clothes to one of the schools she always dreamed of attending and ends up saving the day. Lord Andrew Montgomery rules almost every place he sets foot in-one of the perks of being the son of the most powerful duke of the time-and this includes Oxford. Violent and aggressive, he vows to make the life of every student who dares defy him miserable. However, when he targets the new (and first) girl at Oxford, his obsession becomes a little more than just making her life miserable. It began, he would later speculate, with a shout: the simple sound of someone shouting at him-for the first time in his life. It began, she would later speculate, with a catch: the simple movement of strong arms, breaking her fall, catching her midway. But after that, there would come many more events, and ones not too keen on bringing them together. What will they do when a powerful duchess steps in, when it seems every person is working to keep them apart? This is a story of betrayal and love, because they are not so different after all...

To Wed the Wicked

36 parts Ongoing

She was supposed to be safe. He was supposed to be sensible. Neither planned on falling. ✧ Everyone agrees that the plain, wealthy Lady Noelle Hathaway is perfect for marriage. Sensible. Dutiful. Modest. The kind of woman men marry after their daring escapades in youth tire them. She's a stickler for rules and propriety. She'd rather tend to her roses than ruffle society's feathers. Which was precisely why Viscount Radley, now the new Lord Windmere, needed to marry her. A charming rogue, he lives for the chase. No woman has kept his attentions for long, and that's how he's always preferred it. No attachments. No tears. But then his father's will forces him into marriage, where he must be wed for six months or risk the estate being sold. So he comes up with a scheme for a temporary wife. And who better than Lady Hathaway? She's safe territory. Boring, even. With his rakish past and scandal-laden reputation, marrying her is the obvious, sensible choice. She would never stir his heart. Until she starts interfering with her old-fashioned opinions. Until those sad eyes unsettle him more than a thousand strings of reckless adventures ever did. Until he realises that she is temptation wrapped in propriety. Now he is discovering that the quiet ones burn with fire the brightest, and the hardest hearts fall the fastest.
