Gross misconduct, blackmail, and murder are what await Alexander Bennett when he joins the Homicide Division of the Huron City Police Department, and that is just within the Department.  He must navigate the nightmarish currents of his dream job, or he will be swallowed beneath its waves of corruption.

The Homicide Division is accused of a cover-up in the murder of local billionaires, David and Jake Wentworth, and there is proof.  Since Bennett was not a part of the original investigation, he is partnered with a senior Inspector to bring the killer or killers to justice.  All of this is dumped on him as he works his first homicide case with the HCPD, which seems open and shut.

Surrounded by strangers, Bennett must deduce whom to trust and whom not to.
