If you're looking for a story where a mistreated, tortured, bullied human in a non-human society where 98% of the world has abilties becomes the heroine because a greater threat happens and she, the human could only save everyone and she did so they respsct her in the end, then you're wrong. 

This story follows our protagonist Lia Hale, the damsel in distress, waiting for a hero to save her. Unfortunately she couldn't wait anymore for a hero. She became her own hero. And because of her outlook on things, she unknowingly  became the antagonist.

Her life takes a turn when she has to fight her own demons and question her sanity... Is she really the heroine?

When he grabs ahold of her, she reacts without thinking and stabs him twice in the shoulder, only surviving the encounter thanks to a nearby hero who intervenes on her behalf. He introduces himself to the ex-villain and takes Neera's focus away from the pain and suffering she had been used. Neera grows as she gets used to her new life. Times change and things shift for the worse as Neera's ex, Koen James, comes back into her life stronger as a supervillain, threatening the peace of the world and the freedom Neera discovered. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Neera's eyes closed and her chest rose as she breathed deeply, trying her hardest to focus her power on the heroes nearing her. She opened her eyes, watching intently as the heroes slowly crowded on the rooftop around her. The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. Neera was wary of the color of her suit. /How did I end up here?/ One of the heroes had surprised her with a lucky hit almost a minute ago. She had felt the impact and acted on it, diving to the ground. She had a better fighting chance against the six when they were caught off guard.
