If you're looking for a story where a mistreated, tortured, bullied human in a non-human society where 98% of the world has abilties becomes the heroine because a greater threat happens and she, the human could only save everyone and she did so they respsct her in the end, then you're wrong. 

This story follows our protagonist Lia Hale, the damsel in distress, waiting for a hero to save her. Unfortunately she couldn't wait anymore for a hero. She became her own hero. And because of her outlook on things, she unknowingly  became the antagonist.

Her life takes a turn when she has to fight her own demons and question her sanity... Is she really the heroine?All Rights Reserved

The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. Neera was wary of the color of her suit. /How did I end up here?/ One of the heroes had surprised her with a lucky hit almost a minute ago. She had felt the impact and acted on it, diving to the ground. She had a better fighting chance against the six when they were caught off guard. Life has always been hard for the dark hero, and the final straw was when her girlfriend becomes abusive. After a fight with her twin ends in his death, she goes undercover as a villian to stop government documents from being stolen. It's also a nice distraction from her past. However, when she catches a young hero's attention will she be able to continue her mission or will it all go downhill? After years of abuse, this sparky hero flees her family before they can marry her off. Life becomes interesting when a dark villain catches her eye. Can she break through their walls or will fate tear them apart? ((Trigger warning for rape,domestic violence, and child loss. I wanted to make a hero that shows even the toughest of people struggle with issues like dv and rape, and it's ok to ask for help.))
