Born into a noble family, Beatrix was expected to follow the strict rules of high society, where men held power, and women were seen as mere ornaments. However, she refused to conform. Unlike the other noblewomen, Beatrix possessed remarkable intelligence and a sharp mind, earning admiration from some and disdain from others. The townspeople whispered behind her back, calling her "dirty noble" or "dirty-mud-ball" simply because she dared to be different.
But Beatrix had no interest in their approval-her only goal was to find her missing older sister and escape the suffocating town that refused to accept her.
