Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. Six people, six locations, six accidents... Same place. After unexpected events occur, six people find themselves in the land only known as Gensokyo. Confussed and flabbergasted, they introduce each other before procceding... Until, the introductions split them into two groups. After the two groups can't seem to trust each other, they each walk in one direction, hoping for the best. Lost and yet to fully realize the dangers lurking in the forest they find themselves in, they continue to walk carefree. Who are those people? Well... There is a politician, who desires to achieve greatness. A priest, who has a questionable mindset and intends. A military engineer, who is mostly incompetent in the military part but capable in the engineering one. An avarage soldier, who is trying to play the big hero. A simple janitor, who just wants to get back home and last but not least, a man. A man, who did not mention anything about him. Curious. Just what will happen to them? Will they survive past the first day? Will they be able to find the Human Village and settle upon a new life? Or will some of them get power hungry ideas, which might as well cause a new incident like no other? Only time can tell... Note: This is my second story, I have no idea what I am doing and I can say for certain that I will most likely get the character personalities wrong at times. If that happens, I will apreciate a comment pointing out the mistake so I may improve in the future. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. The story picks up from the end of Mission Jeet, from the moment Haseena Mallik sacrificed herself. Haseena and Karishma's relationship changes from that moment. But Karishma is married... or is she? And Haseena loves Karishma only as a friend... or has it always been more than that? As Baba Gulkanand once said - "true love will always find a way" WLW KAREENA Love Story. But very different from what you might be expecting. I have recreated scenes mixing canon with slow-burn Kareena love story. Anubhav and Lalla are present (for some parts) but in what capacity you will have to read to find out. All I can say is nobody is completely positive or negative in this story. Everyone is flawed and human, like people are in real life.
