Lance McClain lived his life alone and scared. No dad, a mom that was barely there and no friends at all. Well except for his cat, Blue and a "family friend", Hunk Garrett. But he's fine with that, thank you very much. Perfectly fine with getting pushed in the hallways, being made fun of for stuttering during class presentations, and silently watching his crush, Keith Kogane from a safe distance. Perfectly, amazingly, outstandingly fine with it. And then everything changes.
Now, because of one letter, he's suddenly the dead kid's best friend, someone everyone wants to talk to and get to know and suddenly, everything's great. Until it's not.
