Clairise Wills has lived her whole life in the shadows. With separated parents, she is under the control of her father, who is the leader of the Shadows. Shadows are creatures who feed off darkness, corruption, and misery of humans. Even as half-human, half-Shadow, she still has abilities like her father, and is forced to use them to kill. But Claire doesn't want to be a killer. She wants to escape her destiny as a Shadow, no matter what it takes. Even if it means killing her own father. And then she meets someone who just might screw all that up.
