Everyone immediately treated her like an outcast blaming her for taking her little sister away from them even though her little sister was struggling with suicide years before she'd past. Life became a battle once her little sister pasted away and the folks, they'd both grown up with starting disowning them seeking them as outcasts. Her own mother disclaimed her giving her problems and everything Shy did her mother tore her down especially when it came to her life. Relationships and her having friends was a no go because if her mother didn't approve or had an issue with them then she'd do everything she could to keep them apart until she won.
