Julie's government is run by a system where a test is taken by every person in the world on their sixteenth birthday. No one knows what this mysterious test is about because no one ever remembers thanks to the government's memory erasing system, but those who pass are invited to the most prestigious school in the world. When Julie Gilbert turned sixteen and passes unknowingly, she must leave her old life, including Daniel, her almost boyfriend. But she soon realizes that the Academy is not what it seems. Dangerous events occur ever since her enrollment at the Academy and to make things even more complicated, her lab partner, Damen, the quiet and mysterious but dangerous boy with looks that can kill, is hiding a secret that may lead to disaster or save the Academy. What she doesn't know is that she is tied to the Academy in a way she never would have thought and as she tries to find out Damen's secret, everything will change.
