Joining as an intern at WAIT, Edward McLaren Bower is excited at his triumph of having effortlessly secured a job his contemporaries highly covet.  With his acumen for objective thinking and detailed observation, he is soon poised to be a success.

What starts out as a dream job gradually turns into conscientious nightmare as he struggles to find moral sanctuary in his assignments, discovering in due time why only the brightest young minds are absolutely handpicked to join WAIT. Things take a turn for the worse when he encounters a rogue employee, the first in the history of the organisation.
