Everyone is born with a soulmate. And after age 17, as you grow closer to finding your soulmate, a tattoo will gradually appear on your left wrist. When you find them, they will have the other half of your tattoo on their wrist. When you eventually fall in love, your tattoos will complete themselves.
Summer has been waiting her whole life to find her soulmate, being the hopeless romantic that she is. But after two years, with only a faint non-distinguishable hint of a tattoo, she's starting to lose hope, as she watches all her friends find their happily ever afters.
Natalia hasn't had much time to spare thoughts on her soulmate, what with the craziness of being famous. But ever since the faint beginnings of her tattoo showed up two years ago, she's been secretly waiting for the day it would grow darker.
Natalia moves back to Los Angeles after a few years. Summer is studying at UCLA. But the city is big and Hollywood is a crazy place...will the two ever manage to find each other?

Soulmates, we're always told we have one but I haven't been so sure I do. I mean I did get my tattoo and it hasn't disappeared yet, meaning they aren't dead. I guess believing in something like that takes a lot of effort. When you first touch your soulmate (Skin to skin contact) your tattoo turns a solid color. That color is the most important color in your life at the moment you touched. In this world, there's a system to tell who your soulmate is. Nobody remembers how it happened but, one day people started getting these tattoos on their right wrist. These tattoos are a basic shape that resembles your soulmate's hair. The shape is filled in completely by the color of your soulmate's hair as well. In the center of the tattoo, there are 1-5 objects. Those objects describe what your soulmate loves to do. The shape of my tattoo always fascinated me but I've never been able to put it into words. My tattoo shape is an upside-down half-circle if instead of the bottom part being flat, it opens and curves outwards. In the center of my tattoo was a volleyball, it always was a volleyball, it's never changed once. You see naturally, people tend to change hobbies, but whoever my soulmate was, they didn't change theirs, I never changed mine either which is fascinating.
