Lance stops responding. 

For over two years, Katie hears nothing from him. Suddenly her brother and father disappear on a mission in space, making everything so much worse. 

After another year, she's completely forgotten about him. She goes on her own mission to find information on her brother and dad by infiltrating the Garrison.
