This is the first of (possibly) three Origin books for my D&D Characters. This is of Carter Altman and the day before his recruitment and some of his most important days in his life of piracy. I hope for it to give a bit of insight of his hometown and the ship he first served. this is also my first attempt at writing a proper story (even if it's a short one). This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see. When Olivia transfers to Dauntless, where her sister transferred, no one could really figure out why. But will her past from Amity follow her? Haunt her, even? What about a certain Dauntless leader that seems to like her? "Training is over for today, everyone out!" Eric roars and as I'm about to walk through the door, I hear his cold voice yet again, "Not you Via, you stay," The others flood out and I stay planted near the door, he slowly stalks towards me and I find myself walking backward until I've hit the door behind me, I slightly jump from shock and let out yet another shaky sigh, he puts both of his arms beside my head, easily towering over me. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories. The Arcane Trilogy: Better Call Paul - Book 1
Paul Goodbrook was born in Piltover, but like many unfortunate souls in Zaun, he lost people he cared for when the Topsiders battled the Zaunites. This put him down a path he didn't expect, where he will discover more about himself, whilst meeting lots of interesting people along the way as he navigates the political world of Pilltover and falls further into Zaun's crminal underworld. This is book 1 of a planned book trilogy. This book will take place over the year before the start of Act 2 of the show, then will follow Paul's POV through the events of the show. As such, this book will be more of a contained story, as it will mainly follow Paul for the majority of the chapters. The plan is for book 2 to be my own version of Season 2 with some original characters involved, so it will be a larger story with regards to how many characters we will follow. Then book 3 will be a season 3 story based on my season 2 story. My plan is to upload 1 chapter per week after I publish Chapter 3 (I had the first 3 pre written to see what numbers/feedback I get), but this may end up becoming 1 chapter every 2 weeks. If I'm able to get a lot of work done, I will publish chapters on a more regular basis outside of the established schedule. If any changes occur like a hiatus or something like that, I will update this description. DISCLAIMER: I am not a League of Legends fan, I am a fan of Arcane. I have researched into LoL lore for inspiration, but I will not be using this as a faithful prequel to the current game lore. IT WILL BE ITS OWN STORY. Hello, this is my first book so please no hate comments on it. Class 1A has a vacation because they deserve it because of the war.
