We as human beings are so easily influenced by authority that we can often let it ruin our lives. But what if the world became so divided that all the power was given to men. Every decision, thought and action by any woman was determined by a man. At the tender age of 6 years old, little girls are taken away from their parents and placed in secure facilities where they are nurtured and taught to be the perfect woman. At first this was an outrageous idea but over time, we, as a society came to accept it. We let it happen and now we have to live with the consequences.

Just like every other little girl Demi Lovato was blissfully unaware of the nightmare that would soon become her life. Playing with her best friend Christina was one of her favourite things in the entire world. That was until one day when the monsters came. Years later and they're stuck in the same routine but with a little determination and hard work, she may just be able to change things for herself

TW: this book may contain mentions of violence and of suicide. DISCLAIMER #1: I wrote this story when I was a teen and while some mental disorders are the focal point, they may not be accurate representations as I was far from being a psychologist. There are several things Lynn doesn't quite get about the world she lives in, which makes it harder for her to figure herself out. She is not your average teenager. She's young, intelligent, though something about her is off by now. Everyone is quick to misjudge and point fingers, everything and everyone is so corrupted that she's afraid she'll lose herself among a bunch of wandering, empty souls. Therapy can only help so much, depression is hard to die, and in Lynn's case it's caused solely by the fact she doesn't 'fit in'. She can't really find her place in the world. But there's something really special about her; Her dreams are haunted by a wonderful, mystical place. No one understands her, they think she's off her rocker, that she needs to cut her childish daydreams. But Lynn knows deep in her heart that place really exists, and she'll do anything to find it, with the help of some new found friends. There's only one thing she must do: Keep an open mind, it brings open hearts and open eyes. -- DISCLAIMER #2 This fanfiction is inspired to Mind Over Matter by Pvris and their lyrics in general. All you read here is fiction. every reference to real events or people is purely coincidental. I do not own the songs featured in the book. *TW* Contains topics and scenes of sexual assault, self-harm, abuse.* "You know you loved every second of it," I can feel the tears welling up as well as the anger building up within me. I stare at him for a while before I have to turn away from his hungry gaze. "Look I just came here to tell you that I forgive you for what you did back in Cali and I'll take you back," "You forgive me?" I yell. "I did nothing to you. You raped me! You fucking raped me! You have no right to come here and tell me that. You. Forgive. Me. You traumatized me. What you did to me tore me up inside and was eating away at me until I tried to kill myself. And when I told people they didn't believe me. I had to listen to so many people talk about how great a guy you were and how I clearly just regretted sleeping with you. You are a monster. You made me hate myself for something that was never my fault. You have caused me so much pain and suffering," I pause to take a deep breath. "So you don't get to come here to my school and tell me you forgive me. You don't get to make me feel bad about coming forward. The only thing I regret is ever thinking you were a good person." _____________________________________________ Logan Young is a 16-year-old girl about to start her senior year in a brand new town. In this gripping alternate history, pop star Demi Lovato's meteoric rise to fame takes a shocking and unapologetically dark turn as her insatiable ambition and disdain for societal norms lead her into a shadowy world of power and manipulation. Far from a victim, Demi shamelessly exploits her influence, forging ties with dangerous regimes and orchestrating deals that reshape global power dynamics-all while basking in her defiance of the very country that catapulted her to stardom. Entangled in an affair with a high-ranking U.S. official, Demi doesn't just become a pawn in a deadly political game-she plays the game herself, knowing full well the devastation her actions will unleash. From her funding of North Korea's military buildup to her indifference to the catastrophic EMP attack on the American Midwest, Demi's choices reverberate across the world, fueling conflict and reshaping the balance of power. As the U.S. government closes in, pursuing justice for the countless lives lost, Demi remains unrepentant, unapologetic, and defiantly loyal to the destructive ideology that drove her decisions. "Echoes of Betrayal" is a haunting tale of ambition without limits, the chilling power of celebrity, and the enduring consequences of a woman who refuses to regret. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. The characters, events, and situations depicted in this story are entirely fictional and do not reflect the real-life actions or events of Demi Lovato or any other public figure. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. #1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. He always assumes I want money. That money can replace my desire for a mother, for a female figure who will guide me through the darkness. All he can provide is money. He assumes that because I use the money, that I'm happy, that I don't spend night hunched over my toilet bowl physically sick to my stomach with the guilt of killing my mother. He assumes that because I have friends, that the smile on my face is genuine. That because I smile and confidently stride out of my room in a bikini, that I love myself and the way I look. He assumes everything about me, because he doesn't know me. I'm his daughter, and with the simple fact, he assumes that by just looking at me he knows my every thought. Does he know of the blood I spill when I have no other method of coping? Does he know of the times I sit and ponder about what it would be like to go through death? Does he know that when he leaves for work, I cry myself to sleep and wish for a mother? Does he know that I could care less about him? I hate him. But he loves me. Does he know, that through all this mess, I just want a mother. Because according to Disney, mother knows best?
