His memory scarred by the horrible events that occurred in that jungle, what seemed like a century ago. His brain puts his conscience on autopilot, and carries him off to his own personal hell. The stress is getting to him more and more in his older state, like he's dying more and more every time he flashes back to that dense forest, and is feeding the memory that kills him with his decaying state. He's afraid to sleep, afraid of being alone, for fear that it will consume him completely. I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day.
