"Sometimes, you've gotta look a little deeper" Caroline Lane and Zachary Martin met by pure coincidence. Both in Rose Hill Hospital on the same night, on the same floor, getting medication for two completely different illnesses. They have lived through the same emotions. Feeling very small and living in a rather joyless life, with limitations and hospital appointments and medications and the constant fear of death. But suddenly, they burst into one another’s life, and begin on their first and last love of their lives. They never saw each other coming. And they’ll never be the same again.
