A Light Never Found

Mike Shinoda is an Assest - a group of people who had died in war that came back as supernatural beings to protect Earth.
His duties were simple:
Protect the World from Mixst - the other group of people who died in the war and came back from the dead, but harmed people; never speak of the Mixst and Assest world to a human; never, under any circumstance, befriend a Mixst; stay outside of human contact unless absolutely necessary; don't question the life of the Assest... EVER
But when Mike becomes marked by a Mixst, he starts noticing something about his people, and the world around him crashes down in flames.

Author's Note: This story has a few characters that I created on my own and I'm also not sure at all how it will turn out, but I like the idea and it's been sitting on a Google Document since January and I finally decided to post it.
