New school, new humans, and new responsibilities. Juhainah has moved from her hometown of Angle Inlet, Minnesota to the famed city of twinkling bright lights: Bellingham, Washington. Her secret must be kept, lest she wither and crack just as her father had done nearly seventeen years past. 

It's as though the universe is a cynic, as she meets someone she never thought she'd see. The numbed girl plagued by her father's death must overcome the unimaginable: fate.
