This story will begin in the summer leading up to the trio's 6th year. Because of the use of time turner Hermione will be 18 at the start of this story.

'While Hermione's parents leave to go on a holiday to Paris Hermione decides to stay home so she will be able to keep an eye on Harry. Towards the end of the summer Hermione's parents come across a Deatheater on a mission and they will not be returning home.

When Hermione receives the news she is obviously devastated. With the grief of Sirius's death, Harry's reaction to it, the thread of Voldemort, stress of the comming school year and now her parents's death she breaks... She is unable to handle her emotions and becomes gravely depressed.
