*TITLE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, WILL BE RENAMED ONCE COVER HAS BEEN REMADE*

It really wasn't the best time to be one of the Azuls. They were reported dead. All of the ones they sent out, gone, their lives taken. There was no more hope. Well, maybe one. A stubborn, knows-too-much hope of an Azul. It was too risky, but they had to do it.

~~~
Rain Eule knows that she wasn't supposed to be sent out. She knew her "mission" wasn't going to be through the process of the Sleep. Of course, it wasn't that she wasn't good enough, but because her mental state was on the tipping point, and yet her power was as strong as ever. They wanted to 'keep' her, for 'future tests', they said.
That was a lie.
It wasn't the first lie they told her, nor would it be the last.
It wasn't until they sent her to the Sleep did she realize that all those Truths were Lies. That whatever 'mission' they had sent her friends on were lies. They weren't just keeping her for her powers, they had everyone else's. But there was more to the gifts she had. More to the supposed missions they sent the others on.
There was more to their abilities than they knew, secrets whispered under their noses, a wrong intention that led to another lie, another secret . . . something that they would remember? Or wouldn't even think about, along with everything else erased from their minds?
(This is book 3 of the P.O.E. Chronicles, Read book 1 Evolution and book 2 Selection if you haven't already) I never wanted a war. All I wanted to do was to get things back to the way they were and to keep those I love safe. But it turns out that everything was just an illusion, that the reality I lived in was all but a lie. That world was no place to live, and in order to make a better future, a future that so many have sacrificed so much to try and archive before me, I had to fight. And to do that I needed to find out the truth, no matter what horrors lie beneath it. The web of lies, of secrecy, of betrayal, is spun so far, so fine, so wide that I had been seeing only a corner of it. I didn't know if I have the strength to go on, but I know that if I don't step up, the world as we have known it will end. If you asked her four years ago what she imagined herself doing in the future, Abigail Beckett could safely tell you that it doesn't involve political meetings, living in an ancient castle and seeking advice from a three hundred years old Original. Having discovered her roots, she had inherited the responsibility to make sure the world doesn't end by the terrorist group Apocalypse and make peace among POE and Legres. With the fate of many of her friends still uncertain, she must race against time to uncover the Apocalypse's plan, pacify the government, and tried not to get killed by her grandmother. Hey there folks, I'm Cody Phillips, welcome to New Orleans. N'awlins is known for many wonderful things, our coffee, music and the ability to throw a damn fine party. We're also known as the city most people believe may be one of the most haunted places in the world. Well, let me tell you this, we have more than our fair share. I know because I can see them. But, listen, don't spread that around. Yeah? It's been a closely guarded family secret my whole life. Not even my best friend knows this about me. See, I use my 'gift' in my work as a homicide detective with NOLA's finest boys in blue. Now, I understand why you might call it cheating, and that's fine. But I always catch the bad guy with the victim telling me everything I need to know and give the family involved closer. So it evens out as far as I can tell. Now just as my life is moving slower than a gator with a full belly, the worst happens. I get the call about a homicide that's hit too close to home. It leaves the girl of my dreams coming home to face tragedy. The moment I see her I find myself reminded of the one secret no one ever knew. Ever since I was eight years old I have felt many different things for Emma O'Neal, and those feelings haven't disappeared with time. Problem is now that she's come home; I find myself fighting not only an unknown assailant out for blood, my partner's misguided beliefs but my own need for the enticing beauty I'm duty sworn to protect. Damn, I just hope I'm able to fight the feelings I have for this woman, and stay focused on the case. Otherwise, I might end up losing something far more precious to me than the honor I've worked so hard for: Emma's life.
Earth has Fallen, it's as simple as it states. Ten years prior, They came. The Tephra, came to Earth intending to take over the life baring Planet. A humanoid species more advanced in weaponry, skills and knowledge than the Human race; looked to make it their home. Countries leaders refused to allow such a thing to happen and war soon ensued. Countless lives wasted to the attack when peace and coexistence could have been an option. Human's, losing, resorted to no other option then chemical warfare. Lieth was born in Scottland and migrated to America as a child when she was ten years old, Ten years before the invasion. She was now 30yrs old. The chemical used in the war completely altered her genetic makeup. She stopped growing upon becoming infected and the effects were permanent. The chemical also caused her hair roots to stain a deep green hue giving her a more inhuman hair color. Her eyes defined her the most. They were a brilliant shade of Ember, like flames in a fire. Kaija was Heir to his Father's Reine. The Tephra were a very tall, fit, Agile and fast, clearly built for hunting. They also stopped aging once they hit adult-hood. Dying only due to sickness, accidents or being slain. Kai's hope was to hopefully unite both races, by force if needed. Kai had long white hair that went past his hips. His skin was a tannish cream tone, a scar over his left eye. He had an agile black tail that was adorned in gold armor. Long pointed elf-like ears. He wore black armor with gold trimming that was protective against attacks of any kind, but was very light making it easy for him to move around. Armored boots adorned with climbing spikes and gloves that exposed his razor-sharp claws. The most distinctive feature of all was the golden skill mask he wore that shown is crystalline blue hues. Power was shifting. Magic soared through the air. Anger turned into a storm. It was coming. When asked about their fourth year, a few decades later, Elizabeth described it as the year where she found out how great falling in love with the player felt. Victoria saw it as the year where she first realised how many different kinds of love there were. Harry's memory had turned it into a year of extreme jealousy and Hermione's into one of heartbreak. But when people would ask Aurora what it felt like to be fourteen, she said: "I was fourteen when my world was truly turned upside down. And only one person could put it right again. Unfortunately, that person wasn't me, because I had lost." ~~~ The competing championd is the fourth book in the Artemis Lupin series. I recommend you read the other three first. She was used to investigating mysteries on her own. People were untrustworthy. They lied. They tried to change the past. But the past couldn't be changed. Her own past was complicated. Especially because she wasn't the one hiding it, it was kept from her. For a good reason, they thought. The dream was her only lead. The only way to figure it all out. The dream was simply the end of a curse and the beginning of a nightmare. Because some secrets are better kept secret. The web of lies and deceit only got more complicated. Familymembers talked out of turn. The wise man was far too interested and the dark saw the truth in her eyes. Because her dream was simply the story. The story of betrayal, friendship but mostly death. But the thing that could ruin it all, was the very thing they couldn't change. It was the only truth in the past of lies. Her grey eyes and his black blood. ~Started 7 May 2018 - completed 17 July 2018~
A moment of recklessness and a dangerous mistake turns her life upside down though, throwing her into a world where alchemy is nothing uncommon. She is quickly surrounded by things she never expected to have existed - State Alchemists, Homunculi and the Philosopher Stone - though is quick to adapt and begin her journey to look for a way back home. While she meets many she comes to care for on her journey, she also meets with trouble, especially from a sadistic Homunculus who cannot leave her alone for more reasons than one. It is a test of time, emotions, bonds and secrets that Arisa must face on her journey, to protect those she wants to protect and achieve what she wants to achieve. But perhaps there is much more at stake and to be considered during her search for a way home - secrets, revelations, wishes and perhaps even love. ~~~~~~~~~~ Fullmetal Alchemist and all its franchise (C) Hiromu Arakawa KDrama Healer and all its franchise (C) Song Ji-Na OC and creative plot (C) Midnight_Lilac
