FIREFANGED
*I'm using Wattpad as a platform to do a complete make-over of my first novel, Firefanged, first published in 2020. I didn't know demon-slayers were a thing back then. I was more of an inner demon person, but I liked getting them out on the page. This book is the first installment of the nine-book Demon in Exile saga. I hope you like where it goes. In a remote city on the edge of the Kingdom of Colivar, a teenager named Ara encounters a demonic assassin and somehow survives. Not realizing the extent of the threat, he enlists with a company of demon slayers and comes to grips with a mysterious dark soul that shares his fight from within. The Demon in Exile Saga offers a blend of pain-filled action and twisted drama in a fantasy series where the characters are as strong as they are flawed and nothing is as it seems. Appropriate for Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult readers. A free revised version of this ebook is available here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JLSTP5X
Red's Wolves
Alera lost her mother early in life and was raised by a strict king for a father and the many nursemaids who crossed themselves before touching her. It wasn't until she was of marrying age that she learned why the people feared her. She was canny... like her forest mother. Canny and feared to be fae. The only person besides her father who didn't seem to fear her was the handsome stable boy. He knew what she was and didn't cross himself before letting his hands touch hers longer than needed for helping her to her mount. And on her 18th birthday, neither could deny the bond that dragged them together. But her father had her sold off to make an advantageous match with the neighboring king's sullen and cruel son. Even a kingdom over, the whispers of the canny princess the people feared as fae reached royal ears. But they thought to use her to their advantage...to put fear in their own people's hearts and make them bend the knee. Now with the kingdom at war with the prince she would have married, Alera must save the people who feared her from an unspeakable fate brought to their door by the sullen prince wielding a dark unknown power. -------------------- Cover by Tina Glasneck ©2022 M.Dalto Published to Wattpad 06.01.2022 Completed 03/30/2023Complete
Veiled in Light and Ruin
Every year, Lyra's village gathers beneath the ancient statues of the Fates, offering prayers and sacrifices to keep the creeping darkness at bay. The Ruined Kingdom stands in the distance, a forbidden place where no one enters and no one leaves. A place ruled by a king who does not age, does not die, and does not care for the world beyond his walls. Lyra has never believed in fate, only in survival. With her mother's health failing, she is willing to do whatever it takes to save what little she has left. But when this year's ritual goes terribly wrong, Lyra is taken-ripped from the life she knows and thrust into the heart of a kingdom lost to time. There, she is told she has been chosen. That she, along with others, must vie for the favor of a king no one has seen in over a century. But something is wrong within the castle's walls. Whispers of the past haunt her steps, and the King-cold, untouchable, and shrouded in secrets-watches her too closely. As shadows stir and forgotten magic awakens, Lyra begins to question everything she's been told about the Ruined Kingdom. And, more importantly, about herself. Because the deeper she delves into the mystery of the King and the kingdom he rules behind the walls, the more she realizes: Some destinies are written in blood.
